December:
Christmas is a time of giving and in the spirit of giving back to our communities we are pleased to announce some projects that help make our communities a better place for everyone. Congratulations go out to veteran performers: Valdy, Gary Fjellgaard, Nathan Tinkham, Saskia Munroe and Krista Stovel who raised over $17,000 for BC Food Banks from 2 concerts and the sales of a CD entitled "A Christmas Dream" which was inspired by Tom Jackson's "Huron Carol" More »
November:
This month we'd like to welcome Nathan Newsom to our ever expanding roster of talent. A veteran flash designer for Ripplefx Communications, Nathan will be working on motion menus in our DVD department which is growing rapidly to meet the demands of our clients. In fact, we have recently doubled the number of Sonic DVD authoring and encoding stations and taken delivery of new Sony Digital Betacam and DVCAM decks. More »
October:
There have been a lot of exciting projects at Canada Disc & Tape and at our affiliated companies in the past couple of months. We are pleased to announce that Larry Day of Pyramid Productions has chosen our DVD division (Digital Video Masters Canada Inc.) to handle the authoring of special "Point of Purchase" DVDs for HMV. After the launch in August of the Coldplay DVD, we were also asked to do one for the Rolling Stones "40 Licks" release in September. More »

On September 11, 2001, four U.S. planes hijacked by terrorists crashed into the World Trade Center, The Pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania killing more than 3,000 people in a matter of hours. Those who perished left behind family, friends and coworkers who feel the national tragedy on a personal level. More »

At Canada Disc & Tape Inc. we are fortunate to be able to look after the CD replication needs of all types of music ranging from rock to country, jazz to hip hop, and classical to urban goth to name a few styles. We’ve even done CDs featuring Alphorn for William Hopson and Hammered Dulcimer for Tomko Lamb! One of the many interesting CD releases this month is “Neil Cockburn plays the Carthy Organ”. More »

The Flatland Music Festival (www.flatlandmusic.com/) just finished its most successful weekend ever and we were privileged to be chosen to manufacture this years CD. This summer’s festival headliners were Saskatchewan’s Wide Mouth Mason (www.widemouthmason.com). More »

One of the highlights for us this month is the release of “The Green Sea of Heaven” on CD (distributed by White Cloud Press www.whitecloudpress.com) The unique paperboard packaging housing the disc was designed by Kia Talai of Yellow & Yellow, Inc. More »

Our DVD departement has had a Blockbuster month — literally! We’re pleased to announce that DVM Canada Inc. has been chosen to handle the work for Blockbuster TV. Our talented team spent months developing a special interface for Emtae Films making it easier for them to distribute content to Blockbuster stores worldwide. More »

This month, we have two exciting new products to showcase. First, a modelling portfolio on a CD Business card in a slick new jewel case. The second product is an EPK or Electronic Press Kit which is a unique type of CD Plus (or “enhanced CD”). More »

Out of several hundred Canadian Bands that entered CBC’s Big Break Contest, only 15 lucky winners get to be on a nationally distributed compilation of “Canada’s best Un-Signed Bands”. More »

Congratulations go out this month to a number of our customers who are achieving International success! Anita Athavale’s first CD project has been receiving rave reviews and the track “Lose A Little Blood” has been included on a compilation CD for Jane Magazine (http://www.janemag.com/) in New York.
