With more and more DVD players and surround sound systems in homes today, the demand for higher quality recordings and multi-channel sound is growing rapidly. By far, the most popular method of listening to surround sound music to date is on DVD with over 3,500 Music Video titles currently available. More »

Congratulations to Marthie Nel, the winner of our draw at the 2004 WCMA Awards to have 500 CDs replicated for free courtesy of Canada Disc & Tape Inc. The prize includes printing of CD covers, tray cards, pre-press services, film charges and shipping to her home in Regina! More »

All of us at Canada Disc & Tape are proud to be involved with both the CCMA (Canadian Country Music Association) Awards and the WCMA (Western Canadian Music Alliance) Awards this September. The CCMA Awards are part of Country Music Week which runs from September 10 to 13 this year in Edmonton. More »

Our DVD division continues to grow with the addition of Smita Acharyya in the closed captioning department of DVD Masters. Prior to joining our team, Smita produced the film Superhero Wannabe which was selected to screen at this year's Toronto International Film Festival. She also wrote Viva Bengali, a one hour documentary which was nominated for an AMPIA award. More »

Lots of great news this month! Our clients will be happy to know that effective March 1, 2004, prices have dropped across the board on DVD, CD, Mini CD and CD Business card replication! For example 1,000 bulk CDs with 2 color screen printing now only costs 79 cents per unit in Canadian funds! A thousand bulk DVD-5s have dropped in price by over 20 percent to $1.49 per unit. More »

For the retail market, Digipak has becoming increasing popular because it is an attractive and versatile form of alternate packaging. Digipaks can be configured with multiple panels, extra pockets to hold printing and booklets can even be glued directly onto one or more panels.
